Nailsea Environmental & Archaeological Team (NEAT) was formed in 2004 as a Community Archaeology group under the auspices of North Somerset Council Archaeologist Vince Russett.

 

The Aims & Objectives of NEAT are to investigate, record and monitor the archaeology and elements of the environment of Nailsea & District using non-destructive technology/methods wherever possible. This information will be disseminated to the public by the publication of suitable material, (e.g. electronic or printed matter), and by site visits, exhibitions, talks and lectures.

 

NEAT is a non-profit making, voluntary organisation.

 

NEAT is an Affiliate Member of the Council of British Archaeology - CBA

 

NEAT members are covered by Public Liability Insurance & Employer's Liability Insurance.

 

All persons wishing to participate in NEAT fieldwork must join the Group to be covered by the various insurances. Subscription is £10 for the year 1.4.11-31.3.12
